John S. Georgy, MD

Fellowship Trained in Pain Medicine

Dr. Georgy is a pain management physician. He is fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Medicine and board-eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his fellowship at The Spine and Pain Institute of New York in NYC widely recognized for neuromodulation training, where he served as the chief fellow. 

Dr. Georgy underwent his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He served as the chief resident during his time there and received the Leo M. Davidoff Teaching Award. Additionally, he was recognized for Outstanding Contribution and Service at the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his internship in general surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Il. 

Dr. Georgy’s practice philosophy utilizes evidence-based practices in physical medicine and rehabilitation, functional medicine, cognitive-behavioral therapy, integrative medicine, pharmacotherapy, and pain medicine to comprehensively treat the pain and support the patient as a whole. He offers patients the personal time and care that is needed to thoroughly evaluate and properly diagnose their pain while providing them with the most appropriate treatment. The various minimally invasive treatments offered by Dr. Georgy include fluoroscopy-guided spine injections, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, peripheral nerve blocks, regenerative medicine, and spinal cord stimulation. 

He has published many professional articles and written text book chapters on the topic of pain and is actively involved in clinical research that will help advance the field of interventional pain medicine. 

He is a proud native of East Brunswick, New Jersey. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, watching NY sports, and spending time with his wife and three children.
