Comprehensive Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center Offering Range of Specialty Services to Patients Throughout New Jersey
Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI) is a comprehensive medical center that provides orthopedic and spine care, pain management, physical therapy, and other medical specialties all under one roof to treat and manage a wide variety of medical conditions. We are home to some of the best and brightest board-certified doctors and surgeons in New Jersey, all of whom are dedicated to providing the high level of individualized care that you require to feel better, faster.
The following are the specialty services provided at AOSMI:
Orthopedic care services are designed to treat any part of the musculoskeletal system, including the joints, bones, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Our team of orthopedic specialists can address virtually any condition affecting the spine, hand, wrist, foot, and ankle, offering a conservative approach as the first measure of treatment. As part of our orthopedic care services, we can also provide cartilage restoration, joint replacement, and even urgent care services.
A vast majority of the population experiences neck or back pain at some point in their lives, and our spine specialists are ready to address it when it occurs. We can provide conservative, non-operative spine care, such as massage, physical therapy, and acupuncture for such conditions as spinal stenosis, disc herniation, and other contributing factors of neck and back pain, as well as minimally invasive surgery and other treatments for painful conditions affecting the spine.
When a foot or ankle condition has kept you off your feet or limited your range of motion, our foot and ankle specialists can be of assistance. We commonly treat heel pain, bunion pain, ankle sprains, and much more. Our podiatry team also provides diabetic foot care, wound care, and even urgent care services for a range of foot injuries. Orthotics, bracing, medication management, and injections are some of the conservative treatment options that we provide, but surgery also can be provided to alleviate discomfort.
No one wants to live with chronic pain, and we do not believe that you should have to. That is why we offer pain management services for spinal stenosis, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and many other conditions. Our team is comprised of a physiatrist, interventional pain management specialist, and an alternative medicine practitioner who can also provide non-operative and interventional treatment for pain caused by surgery, cancer, and sports-related injuries.
Some conditions, such as osteoarthritis, sciatica, and tendonitis, require physical therapy as a form of conservative treatment to achieve a successful outcome. We are proud to have a rehabilitation center onsite to better meet the needs of our patients suffering from one of the aforementioned ailments or another painful condition. Our team will develop an exercise and home program tailored to meet individual needs and even offer functional strength training, occupational therapy, massage therapy, kinesio taping, and more as part of our treatment modalities.
Being active is very important, but it can also cause a slew of sports-related injuries. Our sports medicine specialists are ready to help anyone suffering an injury to a joint, tendon, muscle, or another area of the body. We will take the time to accurately assess your condition, conducting X-rays and other diagnostic services to create a complete diagnosis and treatment plan. Most conditions only require conservative treatment, such as platelet rich plasma therapy, EPAT, and FAST procedures, but surgery may be considered when all conservative measures have been exhausted.
