This fall, Mackler will be taking his dedication to Vegas by participating in the Las Vegas Half Marathon on behalf of The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those living with Crohn’s Disease and Colitis while searching for a cure for thousands of Americans. After being inspired by watching members of his immediate family suffer with the condition, Mackler joined the CCFA board and has been serving in the capacity for two years. This illness causes the digestive lining to become inflamed and can cause abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, blood in the stool and malnutrition. Millions of Americans have been diagnosed with the condition and thousands more are likely suffering in silence. The CCFA’s mission is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for sufferers.
