George is a 71-year-old male who had a right total knee replacement performed by Dr. Nasar. He was filmed at the Symposium: Free Yourself from Knee Pain at CentraState in June of 2007. George discusses how he chose Dr. Nasar to be his surgeon. He states that he is sorry that he waited so long before having surgery. In comparison to his previous left knee replacement, George notices much less pain and a faster recovery with his right knee replacement.

Dr. Nasar performs a Zimmer knee replacement using Patient Specific Instrumentation (PSI) custom cutting guides. The surgical video is narrated and demonstrates the technique. PSI guides are fabricated based on pre-operative MRI’s of the patient’s knee. They are custom made for each patient. Bone resections for the arthroplasty are planned in advance and built into the custom guides.
