Dr. Nasar performs a Zimmer knee replacement using Patient Specific Instrumentation (PSI) custom cutting guides. The surgical video is narrated and demonstrates the technique. PSI guides are fabricated based on pre-operative MRI’s of the patient’s knee. They are custom made for each patient. Bone resections for the arthroplasty are planned in advance and built into the custom guides.
Dr. Berkowitz and Dr. Nasar perform a Carticel Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation procedure. This involves culturing and growing the patient’s own cartilage cells and implanting the cells into the knee to restore healthy cartilage.
Dr. Goldberger and Dr. Nasar share a short narrated video showing intra-operative images and video of an arthroscopic hip bursectomy surgery. This is a treatment for trochanteric bursitis or hip bursitis that doesn’t respond to non-operative treatments.
