Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, Dr. Stacey Gallacher graduated co-valedictorian of her medical school class at New York Medical College. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Brown University and also completed a year of specialty training in complex shoulder and elbow surgery at Yale University. Dr. Gallacher specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder and elbow including rotator cuff and labral problems, tennis elbow and elbow arthritis. She also specializes in complex shoulder reconstruction and shoulder replacement surgery.

During her training at Yale, Dr. Gallacher received advanced training on bone preserving shoulder replacement techniques. She also treats adolescent athletes with shoulder and elbow injuries. With specialty training in trauma, Dr. Gallacher provides trauma care for adult fractures, including reconstruction and replacement of complex shoulder and elbow fractures. She strives to provide a comprehensive approach to recovery including both non-surgical and surgical techniques to minimize pain and restore function.

As a former division one collegiate athlete, who continues to maintain an active, athletic lifestyle, Dr. Gallacher understands the unique needs of athletes and active individuals. She works closely with other specialties and services such as physical therapy to maximize recovery and return to activities. Her personal life includes participation in many activities such as cycling, surfing, paddle boarding and yoga. Dr. Gallacher is passionate about the benefits of living an active lifestyle and works together with her patients to help them restore a pain-free and active life. Dr. Gallacher also researches alternative therapies and uses these principles to complement her surgical expertise providing a comprehensive approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. In addition, she is a member of the AAOS and is active in academic endeavors, including serving as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Arthroplasty.
